Product Designer

Job description

Gigi helps brands and agencies buy and measure Amazon Streaming TV ads. Within the past year, Amazon has catapulted itself into the fastest-growing ad-supported streaming service in the world. Gigi aims to seize this opportunity by being the only company (outside of Amazon) to allow brands to plan, buy, and measure their Streaming TV campaigns in a single workflow.

More broadly, we believe the $100b in TV ad revenue in the US alone will become increasingly concentrated in a select number of large tech and media companies. There will be an opportunity for a third party (like Gigi) to unify the buying and measurement across these companies and become the single source of truth of a brand’s streaming TV strategy.

We’ve raised a seed round led by Golden Ventures with participation from some of adtech’s most notable investors like Aperiam Ventures and Heracles Capital.

We are now hiring a designer to join our growing product team and own all aspects of product design at Gigi. You will work closely with the founders, customers, and engineers to build a category-defining product that will revolutionize the TV ad industry.

About the role:

  • You will work in our small (but growing team to) iteratively improve user experience and enhance our product. This entails rapidly taking the Gigi product ideation to prototyping, to production

  • You will have the opportunity to be a key stakeholder in defining our product strategy and executing our roadmap.

  • You will push forward and maintain a high design bar and execution level.

  • While we do not expect you to be an advertising technology expert, we hope you will quickly immerse yourself in this industry. Doing so will allow you to garner a perspective on what good ad tech products should look like and how we can craft Gigi’s product experience to evolve with the industry.

  • This is the first product design hire at our company. Not only is it an opportunity to have total autonomy in the design of our product, but it is an opportunity to emerge as the leader of a future design team and its culture.

About you:

  • You have 5+ years of experience in product design. We want to work with someone who is incredibly talented and knows what they’re doing.

  • You’ve shown that you can craft beautiful products, as demonstrated by your portfolio of work spanning web and native mobile surfaces. Bonus points if you’ve designed metrics-heavy enterprise-grade products.

  • You can prototype experiences and understand the limitations of technology limitations, or rather what can be done today which gets the impact needed vs. what’s possible in the near future to expand that impact

  • You genuinely want to join an early-stage company in its infancy. This entails an incredible degree of autonomy and the ability to have an impact. However, it also entails a lack of structure and processes. The former should excite you, but if you think you require the latter, then you are likely not a great fit.

  • You are scrappy and have a bias for action.

Some other info about us:

  • We’re an early-stage company that believes in the power of working in person. We want you to want to come to our office (at Bathurst and King).

  • We stock our office with great snacks and drinks and are always open to new additions.

  • Full-time hires will get top-of-the-line Apple equipment and hardware

  • Immediate health benefits
