Tell A Fairy Tale Card

I designed a card for Adobe's "Write On" project which sends a pack of blank notecards to friends of Adobe Design around the holidays. There is a theme, and one card for each month of the year.

This year's theme was "Interesting Holidays" and I chose February 26 - "Tell A Fairy Tale Day" because when I was young I was obsessed with fairy tales. My elementary school librarian knew me as the girl who'd read everything in the fairy tale section.

I think part of the reason I loved reading fairy tales was the imagery - the medieval costumes and the shining symbols of magic wands and swords and crowns. So it was a pleasure to get to illustrate and re-create those worlds.
