Katy Perry - Smile - Album Art Concept 3

Album art design is a constant source of inspiration for me, and I often find the desire to design my own interpretation of an artist’s latest work. Katy Perry just unveiled the art for her upcoming fifth studio album, Smile, and it is certainly bold and campy. For my take, I designed not one but three concepts that all lean into the retro aesthetic I get from Katy’s version of the circus. I wanted to evoke the late 1950s or early 1960s with these designs.
