UI UX : eKinerja Kabupaten Tuban
Some time ago I got a project to redesign the application of “eKinerja” on the Android platform. eKinerja application is an application to record and view performance activities for PNS (Civil Servants). On this project, I work as a UI UX Designer. In this application before using a web base that runs on Android. Then the user complained about the use of an unattractive application and made it confused because of the navigation and also the unfavorable display in the mobile version. then I started to make the design by understanding the brief given by the product manager and also some rough sketches of the application flow. From the sketch I tried to understand and also see the existing website then I made improvisations on the design and flow provided and I submitted it to the product manager. The product manager agreed then I started making wireframes and proceeded to the high fidelity process. Here I have a problem miss application understanding on inputting activities. on inputting the calendar must always appear and bring up the activities that have been entered. finally, I made it again on this page and added the status input label. The design is ready, but the time is very urgent, making us have to skip the prototyping process. I immediately discussed with the developer for its application, I explained the plot and I also provided the required design assets. in the developing process, I always discuss with developers to make sure the designs that I make can be implemented. then we get a new problem because on the web there is a slight difference in the use of tables in the database, then we look for ways to solve this problem. due to differences in tables in the database, on the input page, the date and input selection process cannot be implemented. We look for alternatives to this, and finally, it can work well.
In the end, I concluded, the process of designing and rebuilding existing applications would require very high effort for several reasons. maybe a database with old technology, poor flow, unclean scriptwriting, or even the technology used is rarely used. But if we are thorough and work together, we will be able to resolve the issue.
