Defender wading through river

Here a tried to push many aspects of my technique and process. I took some courses, felt brainwashed, forgot everything about drawing and re-learned it again, in a more methodical way. Then I stepped back from Goku's hyperbolic time chamber ready to fight against my inner Freezer, feeling powerful as never before.

All kidding aside here I took a completely different approach about colors, created a couple of brushes, experimented with value composition and compositing. The result is pretty decent as first attempt on many aspects, what do you think?
