Project Overview

Homely is a new app for anyone who needs helps to visualize new furniture in their homes. They have partnerships with a number of the top 10 furniture stores in the U.S. By offering an extensive catalog, they believe they can make a significant difference to the user experience. Furniture, they believe, shouldn’t just come from one store.

Problem & Challenges

It can be challenging to imagine how a piece of furniture would fit into an existing room setup when shopping for furniture. The challenge was to design an app to visualize desired furniture combinations as they were placed in their home using augmented reality (AR).

Scope

Comparative Analysis, User Interviews, Contextual Inquiry, Persona Creation, User flows, Wireframes, Prototype, and User Testing
