Discussions hero concept

Early hero concept for the upcoming Github Discussions feature page. This concept didn't make the cut as it was too abstract and too cluttered but I liked it.

The concentric circles with events and avatars were supposed to represent conversations. The indentation of these leading to the reveal of the UI below was trying to convey the idea of social hub without being too literal and show the product UI directly.
