New Tumblr app icon - The Magic Cat

After a long process of thinking and many failed sketches, I finally achieved this result…

I had many ideas in mind but doing a “magic cat” just clicked in my head. Besides making it purple, I added details to enhance his “uncanny” nature, such as the third eye, the horns and the two tails. He has a crown also since he’s king of magical arts?

I think this fits with what Tumblr might be looking for because it combines a lot of types of content I enjoy when using Tumblr, like illustrations, cats and inspiration. It’s a little bit random, but at the end, Tumblr is like that, you never know what wonderful creation you might stumble upon… and I love it.
