Delta Logo Redesign

Hi guys! I decided to redesign the Delta logo and this is what I came up with :)

The font:

I chose to use a serif font because it conveys trust and when flying you have to really trust the airline you choose.

The colors:

I used a deeper shade of blue for the logotype because it stands out more but kept the same reds.

The symbol:

Upon research, I found out that the symbol represents the fourth letter of the Greek alphabet, delta. Richard Maurer noticed that the convairs fighter-interceptor was similar to the letter.

For my redesign, I decided to make the bottom part of the symbol more curved in like an airplane's tiny wings in the back (the actual term for it is a horizontal stabilizer) which I think just looks more cohesive with the top part of the symbol overall. I also made the darker shade of red to form a small wave in the symbol to represent the wind flowing and moving around you while you're in the air.
