The challenge

1Bitcoin.ca is one of Canada’s largest Bitcoin vendors & service providers. From simple buying and selling of Bitcoin to crypto financial services, their client base consists of both businesses and individuals alike. All of the services are conducted through their online platform, which began showing the need for an update. Despite already being established as one of the leaders in the Canadian Bitcoin space, 1Bitcoin needed to ensure that this platform would improve the existing user experience, so a modern and meticulously planned design quickly arose as a high priority for this project.

The solution

The solution presented itself in the form of a team that has extensive experience with designing modern and responsive dashboards: Profico! Once we were onboarded, we very quickly came up with a design that met all criteria and was approved by 1Bitcoin. The final result took us one month from start to finish, and the first 1Bitcoin service we incorporated into the platform version was a logical one: buying and selling Bitcoin. While we were working on the dashboard, we were putting together a design system that can be applied to the rest of the platform and ensure that the quality of the design and UX remains the same throughout. 1Bitcon’s dev team then used this design system and implemented it into the rest of the product.
