Money pools service redesign
Project details
We embarked on this redesign project after realizing that the existing service had become increasingly challenging to maintain as the company grew, leading to regression issues rather than delivering continuous value.
Following extensive collaboration between the Business, Tech, and Design teams, we made the strategic decision to perform a complete redesign of the service.
Our objective was to address the initial concerns and meet the evolving needs of our users and the company.
This project had three primary goals: modernizing the service, updating the technology stack, and enhancing the overall user experience.
Through this redesign, we aimed to revitalize the service, align it with industry best practices, and position it as a competitive offering in the market.

Discovery Phase
Through careful analysis of usage data and user feedback (online survey), the team identified features that were rarely or minimally utilized by our user base.
By removing these underutilized features, our vision was to streamline the service and eliminate unnecessary complexity, enabling users to focus on the core functionalities that truly added value to their experience and enabling the team to focus on the most important features.
Delivery Phase
To ensure a cohesive and efficient user experience across the entire service, the project team developed a comprehensive design system.
This design system encompassed all the necessary components, guidelines, and principles that governed the visual and interactive aspects of the service. By establishing a standardized set of design elements, such as typography, color palette, buttons, forms, and navigation patterns, the design system promoted consistency and ease of use throughout the service.
Furthermore, the design system provided a scalable foundation for future updates and enhancements.
Connecting the Dots,
The Role of Strategic Emails
Seamless and effective communication is a vital element of the user journey, acting as a bridge at various stages of the process. Emails serve a wide range of purposes, so it was crucial to maintain consistency with the web service experience while ensuring they are timed strategically to create a seamless journey.
