Hortulus Bier

Introducing Hortulus Bier. The new beer brand of Via Monastica which is the regional shop of monastic products from M?nche in Neuzelle. I did the branding for Via Monastica as well as the design for several products. More to come soon!

The monks of Neuzelle want to build a new monastery in the vastly secular East of Germany in the middle of the woods on a former stasi site. This range of products want to support this endeavor. The Hortulus beers tells the story of a monk finding ruins in the woods (Helles Vollbier) and rebuilding it (Dunkles Kellerbier).

I’m beyond thankful for the humble and christ-like brother Pater Kilian who entrusted me with these projects.

For the beer labels I used big range of fonts: Schmaltzy by Herzberg Design Co., Cinder by Fort Foundry, Smillingen by Viktor Baltus, Cottonhouse and Staten by Kevin Cantrell and many more.
