UI Layers for an e-commerce app

This is a look at the layers of UI that went into the creation of this home page of an e-commerce app.

This shopping app is focused on knitwear, so when creating the experience I thought about what types of things shoppers are considering when they're shopping for knits. Research showed that most of their customers had a clear idea of what they were looking for when they came to shop--with material being the first consideration and style being the second, with you can see exemplified in the UI. From there it gets more general and varied so I went right in with a trending/featured style feed to browse.

Also, I think it would make more sense if the top section header said "shop by style" or something to more clearly incorporate both the styles and the materials. Thankfully, this is just a mock up so it's a work in progress.
