The Creative Process
1. Brainstorming Ideas
The journey of creating Designopolis began with a whirlwind of ideas. Our team gathered around the table, tossing around concepts and envisioning what a city designed exclusively for UI/UX designers would look like. One of the most exciting ideas that emerged was to shape the main buildings of the city into the letters “THINK,” with each letter representing a different stage of the design process. This concept not only gave the city a unique visual identity but also reinforced the core principles of UI/UX design: Think, Help, Innovate, Navigate, and Knowledge. Each building was carefully conceptualized to embody these stages, making Designopolis a city where the architecture itself is a learning experience.
2. Sketching the Concept
The journey of creating Designopolis began with a whirlwind of ideas. Our team gathered around the table, tossing around concepts and envisioning what a city designed exclusively for UI/UX designers would look like. We discussed the features that would make this city unique, focusing on elements that would inspire creativity and learning.
3. Building the City, One Structure at a Time
Next came the meticulous task of bringing Designopolis to life in 3D. We started by constructing each building, piece by piece, ensuring that every structure reflected the spirit of the city. The architecture of each letter-shaped building was designed to be both functional and inspirational, with sleek, modern lines and vibrant colors that symbolize creativity and forward-thinking. The connection between the buildings was also a focus, allowing smooth transitions between different phases of the design process as one would physically move through the city.
4. Creating the Characters
To breathe life into Designopolis, we introduced characters—designers, students, and mentors—each with their own unique style and personality. These characters populate the city, engaging in activities that reflect the daily life of a UI/UX designer. From brainstorming sessions in cafes to intense design challenges in studios, these characters embody the dynamic and collaborative environment of Designopolis.
Together, these steps combined to create a city that is not just a place but a vibrant, living world where the future of UI/UX design is continuously shaped and reshaped by those who inhabit it.
