Rideshare, for whom?
Rideshare - Anyone can get a part-time or even a full-time job as a driver due to its low entry barrier compared to a traditional job market. As there are more and more drivers, it seems like earning money is getting difficult for drivers. In addition, it looks like paying offers from the rideshare companies to drivers keeps going down. It is less than $1.00 per mile or minute.
For example, I think a 30-minute trip with a 25-mile distance should pay at least $20 for drivers but it is not. The company gives less than $20 for those trips. Maybe clients pay around $35 or even more. Then, I should have reasonable suspicion about where that money goes. The Rideshare companies. They take too much from drivers even though they don't care about gas prices, maintenance, insurance, etc. because drivers are "independent contractors." It is like the early 20th-century capitalist who took everything from workers.
I created this illustration not to blame a specific company, but to share what I feel while riding a rideshare platform.
