Gig Poster Illustration

Once upon a time, I taught a lot of very talented students, and more than a few kids were in bands. One day, a group of girls had a big gig lined up - they were opening for Arcade Fire, and they wanted help with a poster to help promote this. What an awesome learning opportunity! I took some time in class to demonstrate how quickly anyone can create a fun illustration from a photo using a simple complementary color scheme, intentional use of fully saturated accents, a wacom tablet, and (at the time, photoshop). I liked what I did in the demo, and decided to finish the illustration for fun.
