Snowflake Weather app icon

Here’s the app icon for our new weather app, Snowflake.

I’m pretty happy with how the icon turned out. The clouds were crudely 3D rendered with red, green, and blue lights to allow full control over lighting and colours from the Photoshop document. I used the smudge tool with a bristled brush to give it some fluffy texture (using a similar technique to the attached video).

There will be a public beta of Snowflake soon. Follow @bjango to be informed when that happens.
