A Fundamental Design Building Block

I elected to use the “2X Grid” as it allowed me to start thinking through various components, typography, iconography and how I would want the product to scale responsively. “2X Grid” helps create a visual symmetry which in turn simplifies the creation process by defining a set of limitations that provide clear boundaries for the components that you create. It is also important to identifying the Brand. Without it, the relationship between the components can be unsettling to the eye and resizing can lead to inconsistencies between designs.
